Copa Airlines adds a fourth weekly flight between Tucumán and Panama

Northern Argentina keeps gaining international connectivity: Copa Airlines will add a fourth weekly frequency between San Miguel de Tucumán and the Hub of the Americas in Panama City during the summer season.

When it starts

According to the airline's reservation systems, the new flight begins in mid-January 2027 and operates on Saturdays. The route currently has three weekly frequencies, departing Tucumán early on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Why it is a good sign

The route opened on 25 September 2025 and has shown strong load factors ever since, with both leisure and corporate passengers. That response from the Tucumán market is what pushed Copa to expand in less than a year. The airline will also add a fourth weekly frequency in Salta during February, and last May it reached close to 9% of Argentina's international passenger traffic.
